Yes, because you will need a more powerful card to keep games at or above 144hz with the RX580. With freesync, no screen tearing will occur when games go below the 144hz.

Is having a freesync monitor with 144 hz and my rx 480 8 gig going to look better than just buying his monitor. Any 144 fsync monitors around 250? TIA

Imo, very worth it. 27" is the most I would go stretched on 1080p. Yes, this requires DVI-D. HDMI will not output 144hz. I was getting ghosting issues in CS:GO with this monitor. Lightboost was a...

Anyone know if this can output 144hz via HDMI, or do you have to use DVI port to get 144hz?

As I understand it, you wont get the 144hz through the HDMI only the DVI. Is this correct? Also note this monitor does not have display port.

I dont get it. Wouldnt bumping up 7 inches negate the increased pixels so pixel density would be pretty similar? Maybe checkout the pixel pitch?

So I got a 27inch and stretched 1080p on it and well it looks okay, but definitely not as good as it looks on a 24inch. Also 27inch isn't a bad size for sitting at a desk, I sit about an arms...

You're not going to get a 27 in + IPS + G Sync for less than $200. But go ahead and wait it out! I'm pretty sure in maybe 5 years the price will drop below 200

I'll admit, my eyes aren't like they used to be lol. But my last monitor was a 27" AOC 1080p super cheap monitor, and the pixelation was crap. I have this monitor now, and the ASUS competitor, and...
