I really wish they'd just sort things out with Qualcomm. Intel may improve but it's pretty telling that Apple has to hobble the Qualcomm modems to match the slower Intel chips.

Unlocked yes, but only the Verizon and Sprint versions have CDMA radios. (incidentally they also have Qualcomm radios whereas the GSM only versions have Intel radios)
