It might be the Note 8 charger. Someone told me that is it very picky with cables. I was able to get quick charge 3.0 to work with my car charger with these cables.

Thanks, I bought urlhasbeenblocked braised nylon cables on a recent FP deal, and they are tough to use because of their rigidity. Not buying these because of this characteristic of these cables, too.

I too bought these cables from a previous deal and I'm moderately happy with them. I use one to charge my phone at night and it has been good with the exception of the type C end benching a bit....
