Nope, both my laptop boot well. I read that some laptop have problem when connected to USB 3.0 port. Try using a USB 2.0 port or a USB 2.0 hub.

got the correct dock :) and it works fine with my office T460 and personal BestBuy Lenovo Yoga 14. Only issue: Logitech Universal Receiver does not work well if plugged into the USB 2.0 Port....
