If you need the extra length I think it's worth it. 4' difference from 18' and 22' can be significant for those that have 2 story homes (especially with dual 10' ceilings) with high roofs.

While it is true, the 22' version for $100 is 22' "reach", but the ladder itself is 18' So you still get actual or "real" if you prefer 4 extra feet for extra $69

Good deal, but just take a look at the diagram showing max height in each position and be aware that this ladder is for 26' of "reach", but the ladder itself is 22'. Also, 40lbs.
