That’s right. I fuse tapped into a female lighter plug, then plugged the male plug that came with the cam in to the female. Some prefer to buy an adapter and splice.

re: the fuse tap comment; Are you sure it runs on 12V? I thought this was a 5V system and you couldn't just splice the wires into the fusebox
