The $30 ones are incandescent; They're on sale for $24 probably late summer this year. The $69.99 discounted to $39.99 are LEDs, and you can use it just for white.

These are LED...I dont believe the white only lights are so you will have to change the bulbs and they use 10x the electricity.

I can vouch for this. At my local Costco right now. Almost bought it but I don't need color. They have the white ones for $30 which I got.

Local Costco has these lights on sale. For $39.99 after instant rebate of $30. Bright white and multi-colored. Seems to go on sale regularly. Trying to post pic. from store but cannot do on mobile...
