I agree with the notices not being s big deal. I’d go for just a Poe camera, but when I look at where to place a camera on the porch, it seems like door bell lis the perfect spot.

Any regular mechanical door bell should work I should think. The ring unit just replaces the actual external button in that case though I am no expert on the Ring unit. Nothing really sophisticated...

I am considering a smart door bell like ring, but I would rather pay an electrician to hard wire it than go with a battery. The front of the house is hardwired, the back is not and uses battery...
