I agree. I'm currently on the Nook now and it is as slow as a snail. I'm patient and don't ask much in terms of performance and speed but opening a browser makes this thing creep. I'm ok with it...

That’s wonderful. Amazon or Apple will kick them to the curb shortly. Their business model isn’t sustainable and they’re way too invested into brick and mortar, which will bleed them dry.

B&N still generates tons of cash at schools and universities. I recall them generating about $2,000 a student over 2-4 years. That’s enough cash to keep the lights on.
