I've had this set for over 4 years now, came with two 1.5Ah batteries. For a DIYer I'd say my use is on the very heavy side, as I'm constantly renovating the house and just building crap in general....

I'd say you can spend $70/80 buck for every 2-3 years that's not bad at all. If you can spend $200, they will last for you couple times of what you pay for these.
