I dont think theres any soliding involved. I think on the bottom of the mobo theres a cmos battery thats wired out to a plug. You can order the full assembly off amazon or ebay for ~10 dollars

I just updated off of Dells website, I don't know what it was. I'm guessing it wasn't a bios issue, since it seems stable with win 10. Probably just a quack trying wipe the drives.

SteamOS in a boot loop on arrival. I plugged in the recovery disk from my other alpha and "recovered" win 8.1. Upgraded it to 10, so far so good. I also received a 4785T

Downgraded to A04. Seems like working fine. Will see. Weird if it is fixed. Because why would a manufacturer write a new Bios that gives pretty important fault, like not booting!
