You had a different issue. Mine were actually locking up. And I don't remember them supporting 5ghz. Anyway, this price is tempting but they were such a headache before.

I had this problem initially and dealt with it for months before I bought a better router than Comcast router I had been using. Also there was something with them being connected to the 5 ghz band...

It's probably locking up because it keep trying to connect to the WiFi, Einstein. The rest of the processes have been queued only to work after this process of connecting is complete.

Yes I have them for more than a month, other than initial set up being frustrating they never locked up on me. From what I read the metal recessed are what makes them hard to connect to the WiFi...

I have the latest generation and they never do that to me. Although, twice in the last week, I had an issue where Alexa wouldn't shut off my lamp. I had to use the LIFX app.
