Thanks for the explanation. it's too late for me since I already opened it up. My regular PS4 sounded like a jet while playing graphics intensive games, so I guess it won't bother me that much...lol

Thanks, Mine came from PA... YES it is to me, in that they changed the way the heat sink/metal plate design and in theory it should dissipate heat better on the unit which would make it not sound...

They should not have done the instant rebate... I believe they allowed it for some reason, no idea... Exactly, what you just said, so normally they don't allow the instant with a promo of $50......
