Anecdotal: when I ordered this from Amazon over the summer it didn't include the skeg, rendering it basically useless. Returned it and never tried again.

Absolutely not. You need an ocean kayak or a very expensive one for that. Great places to rent along it.
Inflatable would be good for the Hackensack, a bay, lake, etc.

Nah, I've had mine for 2 years now and have taken it out on large lakes on windy days with decent-sized waves and this inflatable survived without a hiccup.
It was a solid buy. I have no regrets....

I wouldn't buy, too much exposure to vinyl (phthalates) sitting down in it with your legs and all.
Pregnant women DO NOT use this.

While you'd just qualify, if you start packing gear you're really pushing things. I'd recommend looking for something rated at 250 lbs. If you get this, go light and don't stray further than you...

I'm sure there are idiots that take these into the ocean or even a large body of water like the Chesapeake Bay. It's amazing how poorly people understand the limitations of their water craft.

I bought one (was same price in July) and the max weight should be 180-190lbs. I use it as another spare to my kayaks and paddleboards. It performs decently if under 160, but gets a bit sluggish...

I'm 195, had mine for a full season and I love mine. Its very easy to paddle because it sits on top of the water rather than cutting through it, so make sure to fully inflate it.
