I had similar issue before. But it turns out that in my house I have bad LTE signal. I fixed it to 3g, no dropping anymore. When I am outside, I switch back to LTE as the signal is much better.

I am returning this phone. Upper right part of the screen is sometimes unresponsive to taps. It really annoying because that's where the "back button " is for several apps i use.
