You could buy smart strip for $32 if you want to spend.

Just consider it an outlet multiplier as you aren't going to get any protection for $10, period. Accept it for what it is and it's probably acceptable for that use. These aren't like ballpoint pens...

You can add them to your ignore list. Click on their user name and it will offer you the option. HTH. My opinion is when I see the obvious shills, it gives me insight as to why something might get...

There should be a way to mark a user as shill, so that I can ignore his comments next time.

People with smart to TVs and Xbox or ps4's should consider a REAL smart powers strip. This one linked is not a real smart strip.

Ah, well the answer was from the seller, who doesn't even bother to list a joules rating in the product description. I searched the term "joules" in the Q&A to find that little gem, in case you would...

Okay, so I explained why you needed correcting. I had no way to know you only meant to suggest crappy stuff to use this for as an outlet multiplier, and charging a phone does not qualify for my phone...

Got the white for my room. Thx.

Spend extra $7 for 5610 Joules with UL,FCC and ETL-certified. This surge protector is good for 46" or larger HDTV....

Hey guys, the joule rating is 1000J as in their listing. I checked the Q&A. They have increased the joule rating to 1000J long time ago. So right now the joule rating is 1000J. That's good enough for...

Pretty much. Likely just rebadged same old Chinese crap. Walmart sells a similar product for about the same price if not a buck or two less. 4 or 5 outlets and a couple USB ports. Would not trust the...

A joule rating indicates how much energy the surge protector can absorb before it fails. 600 is pretty terrible - this is more of a power strip. A good surge protector usually has around 2000 joules.

Well you chose poorly to argue such things, as this is worthless as a surge protector. Sorry to have to correct you, but you asked for that with a bad argument. You sounded like one of the shills....

Dude I was just tryna think of things in the living room. Thanks for your input.

You are crazy if you would trust your phone to this crap. No reason to use a surge protector for a lamp. This is not worth using as a surge protector. End of story. Use as an outlet multiplier if you...

600 joules is good if you're plugging in a lamp and a phone charger or something. Definitely not enough for your tv/gaming console/other home entertaining devices

Oh I got the shillanigans thing. I was talking about the Q&A about the Joule rating. I didn't know if that was BS or just really bad.
