The Nighthawk series in general has been pretty solid. The X6S AC4000 is one of the best routers available right now in my opinion. I want to pick one up, but not at $300.

Why would you buy this when Netgear has such a TERRIBLE record supporting dead or crippled ones after the 90 days of complementary support. Plenty of horror stories on Amazon.

I believe the Costco router is the AC3000. This is actually a decent deal. The lowest I've seen it was $190 on Black Friday. It's been $300 since then.
Also - I'm showing it as $299 on Amazon...
