No it's not like that, just get a pair of glasses of your own and bring it to your optometrist and ask them to spray it with anti-glare coating. It should cost about $40 - $50.

It works on TV's... Maybe just not natively. I'm surprised we haven't seen anything like this yet from manufacturers though, and suspect there probably is something out there.
