For $500-600 you'd be better off sticking for a Mexican Fender or Squire for resale value.
These kind of off-brand mass produced guitars from Asia, which actually can be of good to great quality...

Fender are rather over priced. Far better guitars coming out of World Music in Korea than the Mexican Fenders.

They are assembled in Apple Valley, CA with parts from various sources. My buddy works for them doing the electronics wiring.
