4k version is $150 more at MS Store .. Considering that's a $400 upgrade on the Dell site, I'd say that's the better deal, unless you really don't want 4K.

How do people rate this deal? I'm in the market for a developer level laptop very similar to these specs. I would plan on dumping Windows and immediately throwing on a Linux distro.

Almost $1500 for medium range laptop. I dont know.... I think Predator 300 from amazon has very similar specs (better GPU for sure) and it's $1K now. Or EVGA CS17 with 4K + G-SYNC screen, 1070 PGU...
