If you downgrade, you can't get the sign up bonus for that card. Chase Freedom, for example, currently has a $175 signup bonus.

Not always true. My wife signed up in the branch in March. Others signed up between Jan and March too. For them, the second year annual fee might be coming up now.

The CSR came out in late August 2016.... so nobody who signed up in the first few months has their AF coming up anytime soon....they already had it come up late...

A good quarter indeed. I have a Discover card and Ink card so the gas and internet are covered for me. Using the mobile wallet for groceries, etc. is covering the $1200 (used the 300 at Best Buy).
