I had this a while but it broke on 2nd uses. The spring came loose from the cap there for I can't twist to open to pour gas out.

Exactly. These "spill proof" spouts are so bad its laughable. They spill MORE then the old spouts! Only the government can screw things up that bad, and all to fix a problem that didn't exist.

It holds the gas just fine.. Getting it out is the problem since its supposed to be "spill free" but that is the furthest from the truth.
