No issues on my router. Very fast and stable connection for about 3 years. I think it depends also on isp provider and location. don't mess with it if not broken.

I have r7000 and saw no benefit of custom firmware. Not always open source is better for everyone.

So torn, this looks like what I need - range and capabilities. But I can't configure it to work with OpenDNS, which is a must have for my house. I wish it supported dd-wrt.
