Sorry to say but everything you've said screams that you don't know what you're doing or what this monitors purpose is. Games do not run with bars on the side, fix your resolution and/or settings....

Mine was delivered overnight and just set it up. I have some BLB in bottom left corner, but not as bad as when I ordered my 27" Ultrasharp, which I had to do two returns before getting a good one....
