Also avoid the new Tissot Swissmatic watches. I picked one up in a store, and it felt like cheap junk. They use the plastic Swatch automatic movement.

I agree these are a step back from what you just described. This watch has a display caseback. Any idea if you can actually see plastic without disassembly.

ETA 2824-2 equivalent would be new ETA C07.111 that uses the same tech like Tissot ETA C01.211 chrono. The old good ETA 2824 is still made with the same tech as before. There is nothing wrong...

Good price for what it is, but if you're considering it, know that these contain ETA's cheaper line of chrono movements that contain plastic parts...not a Valjoux 775x.
