I bought this about a month ago with two day shipping for prime. If you have the patience and you haven't settled on an SSD yet China might save you $2-3. Worked perfectly on my 2015 HP 15.6 laptop.

It's nothing special. I'm surprised you've never seen one. I've been using one to add a second or fifth drive to my laptops for 10 years. Works fine.
