Wow, this is a pretty crazy deal. All these parts are high end... $300 for CPU, $150 for MB, $150 for Mem. Can't even buy the parts that cheap separately.

it's very high end. If you only need a gaming rig you're better off with Ryzen and spend the savings on games or better gpu.

This deal is only good if you already have a mid-range to high-end GPU.

Are we asking if the chipset standard will out live the other chipset standard, or are we asking which current gen processor will out live the other?

What's a 'Whaylt'? If you're going to mock someone's mistype, the least you can do is not mistype the first word in your response.

It's about $20 less than the items I already had in my cart at the time, but one of them had a $15 MIR. So it's basically $5 savings and it's an unlocked processor, which I didn't have before.

Not really, unless they are picky about having "brand new" every 2 years. This would be good for 10 years

I have this set up but better ram. I love the asus board. It auto over clocked my 8700k to 5.1ghz. I brought it down to 5.0 because the vcore was a bit high for my liking. I think this is a good deal.

This is the exact reason why I'm holding off. And before anyone says that it'll be a few generations before the vulnerability is fixed consider that Intel has known about this problem for a while now.
