I didn't measure it but from the looks of it at the store, the steps are at 12-15" at their highest point. Add in your height plus then you'd need a few inches more for clearance. I'm 6 feet...

I own one. I'm 6'3". It's a compromise compared to a dedicated elliptical machine, but I've never felt uncomfortable working out on it and the option to change to a bike is nice as well.
