Have you had any actual screen burn in (not temporary persistence)? We've found that that cell refreshing mode it does while powered off has kept our panel perfect.

Good god. Just googled images. Are all sets that bad, or is that extreme? That is similar to dirty screen effect on LCDs but much worse. That I could not live with.

There is no chance of 3D coming back. It was a fad that was phased out for a reason. CES 2018 already happened and not one single manufacturer announced they were including 3D.

Yes, I debated whether I should buy online for this reason. Many buy locally so they can exchange a number of times to get one with lesser banding but there's a significant price difference.
