Hydraulic brakes and better suspension is great and generally makes for a better ride. But none of this matters if you dont like mountain biking. I think you can go cheaper for less bike...

If you are a bigger person don't cheap out on a bike. I bent my stock crankset on my 6KU fixie riding up hills. Normal sized individuals should be fine.

Very solid deal for hydraulic discs at this price. Not a great mountain bike with that fork, but certainly good enough to plunk around on and see if you like the sport. Better than 90% of riders...
