Actually, it's easy because the presence of the 8's makes the 7's cheaper. Buy one generation behind, and you save LOTS of money typically. :)

If a laptop has Type-C Gen 1 Port, as mentioned in the configuration, it cannot have Thunderbolt 3 port because it needs a Gen 2 port.

Yes - I have been able to on mine. I bumped the resolution down to 900p to keep it smooth, but that might not be needed now given the latest patches.

The difference is more like 150 aftet rebate if you're taxed by both parties. It's also a better panel since it's IPS and a stronger GPU. While I usually go off price if you wanted a discrete GPU...
