HLD is definitely not style over substance. It is a tough but fair game, like Dark Souls, but maybe not quite as difficult as those games.

I'm not sure what you found objectionable. Basically, you can buy a game and should you switch platforms (for most that means windows to mac/linux) you won't lose those games you've already bought....

How is the gameplay, though? I never bought it because I always got a "style over substance" vibe. I will say I'd recommend anyone play Undertale, even if it looks like something you'd hate.
