Not mining it directly. I was mining through NiceHash, which pays out in BTC. The hash power was going into various altcoin algorithms.

Using GPUs to mine bitcoin in 2018? It is shockingly cost-inefficient. Some other non-bitcoin cryptocurrencies are still worth mining.

I was late to the party for the most part too, but got a little bit lucky on some things. I bought two 1080 GTX's back in November for about $900 total and started mining a little bit in December. ...

completely agree. best money spent for mining will be next gen with that 16gb of memory. pascal profitability, as you point out is low. the $399 1070 is your best bet but even that is a solid year to...

Probably the best post on this thread. The boom was back months ago, although those of us who were late to the party basically paid all of our rigs off now. I’m running 8 rx580s and a 1060. The rig...

Mining is really not very profitable at the moment. It was up to a high of $100-150 after electricity a month for a 1070 Ti during Jan/Feb/early March, but it has dropped like a rock since then. ...

GTX 1080 came out in MAY 2016. I can't get myself to buy a card for this much that is similar to one 2 years ago. Im going to wait for the 11 series at this point.

I don’t expect any major dropoff in gpu prices regardless of miner activity. If you need a video card, use the eBay coupons.

Good leaks and past history show this, not to mention graphics cards are in stock at slightly inflated prices to normal prices these days. Cyrypto is returning 1/3rd of what it was a few months ago...

Anyone deep into crypto know what the state of the market is? From my knowledge it will only get harder and need more processing power the further mining goes. Is there an end to using high end...

That sure is a happy attitude. I'm having fun with God of War and can't think of anything I've played on PC recently that looks nearly as good or has been as enjoyable. To each their own, though--...

I bought a open box EVGA 1070 Ti SC for $425+tax last weekend from microcenter. Debating on returning it, not for this one, but it seems prices are falling pretty quick
