My mistake, it was a 2.6ah pack which is the same setup as you've mentioned but only difference is half the capacity.

What is it that makes it a "workshop" blower? Looks like a standard leaf blower to me. Am I missing something? I'd be hesitant to use one of these in my small workshop!

I'm not seeing a great deal unless you need the blower. The double packs of 4ah batteries go on sale for $55 around Christmas every year.
