Mine were within a week of expiration and sure did taste like it. I promptly went on Amazon to request a replacement. I would suggest that you do the same!

Not big on the birthday cake flavor. Chocolate mint is good if you like york patties, very similar in taste and texture. The best flavor of these, Chocolate iced donut, isn't included in the sale.
