Pretty sure it will come back. It could be even cheaper since the new 2018 model will be replacing this.

What’s the chance of this deal coming back? I just picked up a couple speakers for Atmos so anxious for Atmos AVR now. Plus I’ve got a $150 BB GC lying around waiting to be used.

That is very true. I mean, my Yamaha AV receiver works flawlessly, except it doesn't have HDMI.
I'm only upgrading to have HDMI...kind of a lame reason to have to obsolete a fine product.

With that logic you should never upgrade because AV receivers will continue to improve.

Got mine yesterday and hooked it up - I replaced my Yamaha v675, mainly because I wanted HDCP 2.2 support so my 4k AppleTV can go through it.
So far I'm not thrilled with the sound vs the Yamaha...

Mostly the latest model Roku Ultra. Maybe rarely a first gen Chromecast. And maybe an Amazon firestick as well. 99% Roku.

Hold up. Audio from HDMI and digital out from tnt tv should be the same. More importantly, what are the sources of video for your tv?

Hmmm, so even with digital output from a TV it won't be as good as using an AV receiver with HDMI input (and then pass-through video to TV)??
In that case...I may replace both my AV receiver and...

Funny, I have ~3 year old Yamaha I want to sell because it's way to complicated and the remote layout is really sucks. I've had older receivers (Kenwood, Onkyo, Pioneer, Sony) that were much easier.
