Do keep your original hdd in case there is any warranty work. When you send in the unit for service, It needs to be in its original condition.

I got one last week and swapped the ssd with an Evo 970. Be warned the ssd is located on the keyboard side of the motherboard so it's not as upgrade friendly as some laptops

Good point, this is full power 1060 not max q like the dell. Only 15% difference but with modest Gpu overclock this could be quite a bit quicker.
