you need active glasses or separate active emitter (for some projectors) which is sold separately.

Can someone tell me any reason why I shouldn't just get the newer Optoma HD143 X for 499 new? According to specs, they are essentially the same and the 143 has 4,000 more lamp hours.

Bought the 142x refurbished from urlhasbeenblocked. Projector came in dead. Might just be bad luck but I'd personally shell out the extra money and buy a brand new one.

Got one of those a few years ago it’s still going strong and is very reliable. It’s bright and crips. I would recommend this if you are looking for a very good entry level projector.

Very good projector HD141x was a tad better I own one, but this is a very good projector, and I own a couple of epsons (3700 and 3020) this is the go to everyday....
