Very easy just keep the old panel and eDP cable. If you need service on your laptop, swap the old panel back in. Takes about 10 minutes if you do not need to swap cables.

I received a mailer showing the Alienware 17 with 8th Gen i7 for 1499.99. They honored the ad and gave me the 17 R5 for 1499 even though it was the R4 as the doorbuster.
