The catch is that they are sort of terrible. I'd say go for bookshelves at $150 (pick a brand, any brand, it can't be worse) instead of a set of the towers.

I have a tx-nr545 and a 5 speaker set of Jamo speakers (I remember it being similar to energy take 5), it's a fairly cheap set overall but would getting a center channel such as this one help improve...

I haven't heard these but I have the Nakamichi 7.1 DTS-X and it is is crazy impressive. Not quite as good as my old jbl 5.1 set up (before I had a wife...), but way simpler, cheaper and better...
