I bought this LG monitor and returned. The monitor is damn dim and almost useless. BTW what's the brightness scale of this monitor I couldn't get that info. The LG had 250 cd/m2.

There is the strict definition of what HDR is. Then there is what a real machine is capable of.. Even cheaper FAKE-DR displays are typically capable of MUCH MORE reproduction than SRGB limited...

It flat out will not have proper playback of hdr content, it does not have the gamut response/tuning for the larger color space.
