I think these sold really in part due to all the Vizio TV that were put on clearance. That's the reason why I bought one.

FYI, a couple of locals are out of Tacoma (CW and Fox I think, so depending what direction away from Seattle you are you might have issues with those. Antennas will likely significantly overstate...

No, unless you have a separate location where you can put a tuner, antenna, and something for VPN with a good internet connection. If you have a good antenna, you can pick up other area's stations...
