You can actually download the remote app for the fire tv on your phone and it works just like the regular remote. Hope that helps.

found it in Charlotte and bought two (1 for me, 1 for dad). So far, I was able to pair the TV and the AVR (only power and volume) are working.
I will use my phone for Fire stick and Roku. Worth 25...
