No clumping. Wet stuff just disintegrates to the bottom like wet powder. Hard stuff just gets covered up. No dust like cat litter. The only time it stinks is like any other box, if they don't cover...

i wish costco would sell fresh step unscented. even the "lightly" scented litters smell like perfume, and fresh step also clumps well.

Just my 2 cents. I have found pine pellets that Tractor Supply sells for $6 for a 40lb. Bag to be a good alternative to traditional cat litter.
