Like others commented, 7700hq is a laptop cpu, 6700 is better lol. Also, never judge a cpu by its generation, newer is not better, its just the power consumption is reduced, performance, a little...

Dude I own a 6700 and 7700hq the 6700 is better it's a desktop processor vs a laptop processor. Higher clocks, less likely to throttle. Less stutter in cpu intensive games/programs. For everyone...

Performance wise, the 1070 and 980ti are almost identical, except the 1070 has a much lower power draw and therefore heat output.

I paid $1000 for a similar rig (brand new) with a 6700K from HP back in October 2015, but with a 4GB GTX 970 and no 512GB SSD (full specs below, for reference). Given the performance boost of the 980...

Awesome deal. The 980ti is still a beast and you are not gonna find a rig comparable to this at this price. All the deals I've seen with the 1070 have been $1000+ The only issue for me would be...

Better to buy new tech then this older Gen computer for the long run. Even the newer i5 and i3 can out perform this, and they suck for gaming unless your playing only CSGO. You want minimum a i7...
