Same issue here, Tronsmart end that plugged in ended up being too loose. Took a decent amount of time, but it's the reason why I'm buying another set of 3.

Lengths are tip to tip. Not from the base of the connector or anything. So that 1ft is really short. It actually might be like 11" tip to tip honestly.

I bought 2 6 packs for about $7 and the 6ft I am using right now is doing good after a few weeks. They have a warranty so not worried about it, personally.
