If you remove the magnetic piece and the rubber bumper that the ball connects to, there's a screw that you can retighten. That's what I did with mine and works great again!

This is my biggest complaint as well, otherwise its a solid mount. There're other models of this type that has the screw on top or a knob facing forward to make the adjustment.

I have used this in my Toyota Sienna and Mazda 6. Fits fine on both, really strong and stable. After about 4-5 months though, the actual magnetic base on the mount loosens and cannot be tightened....
