Agree. I overpaid for what I thought was going to be an excellent vac... Always had probs with the suction.. Mine was refurbished too. Cheap run of the mill vacuum works way better fraction of the...

I got a blue Dyson DC7 over a decade ago from Woot, for my parents! And it’s still running fine, only replaced the wand-catch release spring ($5) and canister-handle cap ($15), both due to uninformed...

German vacuums are way more reliable. Tons of issues with Dysons, hence the constant refurb sales.

I've had a yellow Ball for about three years or so, and it hasn't had any failures. That said, it has some fundamental design flaws that those considering one should be aware of. The suction is...

Take a 3 year old Dyson apart and you can see it is not made to last. Plenty of ill fitting parts that allow air leaks. They warp and cant reseal.. Then try a Hoover T-series windtunnel for...

Ok so I’m not going for this dyson, but what should I get? I have always used the budget (~$75-90) bagless Hoover’s but am ready to finally become an adult. Willing to spend 200ish but wouldn’t be...

Are you talking about the purple color ones? I have had mine for over a decade and it's still going strong without lost of suction. The only negative thing I can say about the Animal 1 is that it can...

My purple Dyson "Animal" last over 10 years and just died. It might not be the most perfect product as evidenced by the Reddit post, but it treated me great during the time it lived. I did not...

I can still use mine to lift up and drag away some of our 5x7 rugs with the suction it produces. That really sucks for others to have poor performance for a high priced product.

That was a fantastic AMA and very persuasive advertising. I can also vouch for riccar. They seem almost too nice to be a vacuum and they're incredible effective. It also costs 10x this refurb dyson.

In all fairness Dyson's today are crap. We had an old one we loved, bought a new one and wouldn't do it again.

Of course they have issues. They're made of plastic. They're decent vacuums, but if you treat them like a Kirby you'll have an expensive piece of ABS in short order. I just got a DC 25 out of the...

I also got refurb Dyson dc33 maybe 2-3 years ago. It works great. I always wanted a ball model but the reviews turned me off. The dc33 has a lot more power but the wand is annoying to use.
