Same here. I'll probably go for any sub-200 580 or 1060 without rebates.

No, they are pretty much the same. Maybe IMO even the 580 is slightly better, plus gives you 2 additional GB RAM FWIW

On the last day of June when there was a coupon (10% I think) I made a $250 offer on a NIB ZOTAC Amp 1060. Came out to $226. The 5% Chase Freedom PayPal thing brought it down to $215. And another...

As I said, better reviewed (cooling, dependability, etc). Almost on every site that I've seen it gets better ratings from buyers. Side by side they seem identical specs besides the actual size of the...

One nice thing about buying a video card from Newegg through eBay... the return policy is better than direct.

I'm not sure why someone would wait so long to buy a video card. And now that it's about at msrp, two years later, they are ready to buy. I am in at $170 or $180 for a 580 8gb or 1060 6gb.

Is it safe to speculate that an rx580 will be cheaper during prime day?

Yeah I just got a new 1060 6GB for $233 shipped with the eBay coupon. If you want FreeSync, however, then the RX580 is a better buy.

Link not working for me but Nitro is generally better reviewed and is considered the best among the RX 580.

For FreeSync. Seriously considering swapping out my GTX 980 for one of these.

I dunno about comparing the cards, although from googling they seem roughly comparable. Some people may prefer ATI, some NVIDIA. There are lots of comparisons out there between these cards though if...

I'm showing $280 for the 1060. The cards are pretty similar. $37 price difference. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB-vs-AMD-RX-580/3639vs3923

why buy this one instead of EVGA 1060 6gb from B&H? B&H has no tax, so it is roughly the same price with newegg+tax. 1060 6gb is a better card, right?
