got the RP 100/100/500 360 day plan awhile back just to test TMobile coverage in my area. It's been pretty solid. I get way faster data speeds than my Cricket service. But I often lose connection...

VoLTE worked automatically. I'm pretty sure it only supports WiFi calling on T-mobile branded phones, but should be automatic if it does..

Been on AT&T Red Pocket for several months. Before that H2O. Both AT&T MVNO. Over a period of a couple years, I've had 3 spam calls. You may want to look into other causes.
